This was the first race for my 11 year old son and I to do together. We absolutely loved it!!! The clear directions leading up to, the packet check in process, and morning of were all smooth and easy… We drove 3 hours to join this event and I am so glad we did. We will definitely be running it again next year. Thank you for a great time!

The programs your registration funds

Race proceeds go to CROME — the Claudio Romero Organization for Minority Empowerment, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit — and power three things for local students: scholarships for post-secondary education, mentorship that pairs students with people who’ve walked the road ahead of them, and career exploration that shows what’s possible after graduation.

A legacy in motion

The run honors Claudio Romero’s vision of giving back. It’s why the event feels less like a road race and more like a town showing up for its students — and why runners say things like:

“It was a wonderful experience. Thank y’all so much for putting on this event and continuing Claudio’s legacy.”— I.B., Community Member
