Shirts are picked up during packet pickup week. Check the Details page under "Pre Race Day" for the exact days, times, and location once the packet pickup site is announced.
Register online at www.bluebonnetrun.com. Head to our Races page to see all available events and sign up. Spots fill quickly, so don't wait!
If registration is closed, you can join the waitlist on our website. Selected runners will be notified as spots open up.
Packet pickup is where you collect your shirt, race bag, bib, and other items you'll need for race day. Make sure to hold on to your bib — you'll need it to run! Pickup details including days, times, and location will be announced closer to race day.

Yes! We offer a virtual race for those who can't make it in person. Check out our Races page for all available events including the virtual option.
Virtual race participants will have their shirt and swag mailed to them. No need to pick anything up in person!
All registrations are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend on race day, you have two options: transfer your registration to the Virtual Race and have your swag shipped to you, or defer your entry to the following year's event. Please contact us to arrange either option.
Yes! You can transfer your bib through your RunSignUp profile. Log in to your account and use the transfer option to assign your registration to another person.
Yes! During sign-up on RunSignUp you can either join an existing team or create your own.
First, check your spam or junk folder for an email from RunSignUp. If you still can't find it, visit our Contact page and ask us to resend it.
Check-in begins at 5:30 AM. The first race starts promptly at 7:00 AM, so please arrive early to avoid delays.
Not at all! The Ennis Bluebonnet Run welcomes all fitness levels — from first-time runners to seasoned athletes. We also have a Fun Run/Walk option where walking is fully encouraged. Come as you are!
Absolutely! Walkers are welcome, and you'll have up to 2 hours to finish the course.
Yes! Emergency Medical Services will be present throughout the event for your safety.
Yes, there will be water stations along the race route and at the finish line.
The race is rain or shine! In case of severe weather, we'll communicate any changes via email and social media.
Yes! The Kids Dash is for runners 13 and under. It's a shorter, fun course and all participants receive a medal!
Yes! There will be at least one photographer and videographers capturing the event. Look for your race photos and highlights after the race!
The course is a hybrid — it includes both pavement and off-pavement sections with some inclines. Check the Maps page for the full course route and elevation details.
Yes! Both the 5K and 10K courses are on Strava. Visit the Maps page and click the orange Strava button to view the routes.
Yes! Runners receive bananas and water at the finish line.
The Ennis Bluebonnet Run takes place on the same day as the Ennis Bluebonnet Trails and Festival, which is held down the road in downtown Ennis and starts after the race. It's a great way to make a full day of it!
Headphones are discouraged for safety reasons. Please stay aware of your surroundings and other runners.
We advise against wearing carbon-plated "super shoes" for this race. Portions of the course run along trail and uneven terrain where these shoes can pose stability and injury risks. Traditional running shoes with better grip and ankle support are recommended for a safer race experience.
Yes! All races except the Virtual Races and the 5K Fun Run/Walk are chip-timed with official results.
Race results will be posted on our Results page shortly after the race. Check the link in the navigation menu.
Yes! Awards will be given to 1st–3rd place finishers in each men's and women's division, and overall 1st place male and female in both the 5K and 10K. Top finishers will also be added to the big trophy!
Age divisions are in 5-year increments for both male and female runners, starting at age 10 through 70, plus a separate 9 & under division.
Yes! All finishers receive a medal at the finish line.
Parking maps are available in the Maps section of our website, on our Facebook page (@ennisbluebonnetrun), and on Instagram (@cromenonprofit).
While we don't offer a formal bag check, personal items may be kept near the start/finish area at your own risk.
Wear comfortable running or walking clothes and shoes. You'll receive a race shirt at packet pickup. Bring water, sunscreen, and your bib!

Spectators are welcome all along the race route through downtown Ennis! Visit the Maps page to see the course and find the best viewing spots.
Yes. All children should register through the Kids 5K (timed) registration. If a child needs or prefers to run alongside their parent, they may participate together in the Fun Run/Walk (untimed) instead of the Kids 5K division. Parents must register separately for the Fun Run/Walk.
No. The Kids 5K division is reserved for youth participants only. Families who would like to run together should participate in the Fun Run/Walk (untimed). Children should still register through the Kids 5K (timed) registration, even if they plan to run alongside their parent in the Fun Run/Walk.
Yes. The Kids 5K is a timed division with official results. If a child chooses to run in the Fun Run/Walk with their family instead, that participation will be untimed and no official time will be recorded.
If your child is under 13 and would like to participate in the competitive 5K (timed) with a parent instead of the Kids 5K division, please contact us. Depending on the child's age, we may be able to switch their registration into the competitive 5K.
If running together is the priority, we recommend participating in the Fun Run/Walk (untimed). Children should still register through the Kids 5K (timed) registration, even if they plan to run alongside their family in the Fun Run/Walk. If an official time and results are important to your child, we recommend remaining in the Kids 5K (timed) division.
Yes — we need and welcome volunteers! You can sign up on our site by clicking the "Volunteer" tab.
The Ennis Bluebonnet Run supports CROME's scholarship and mentorship programs, helping local students pursue success after high school — whether through college, trade school, or career programs.
